Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has warned that his England team-mate Marcus Rashford remains an opponent to be feared keno
The Manchester United striker has been in poor form this season and has scored just one goal for the club heading into Sunday’s derby against City at Old Trafford keno
It is a far cry from last term when the 25-year-old netted 30 goals in all competitions, including the winner in the corresponding Premier League fixture against City keno
Walker said: “I think Marcus has shown over the years that he’s the sort of player who can create problems for any side if they don’t match him keno
“He’s been important for both United and England since he was a teenager because of the threat he offers to any team he’s in keno
He’s got a lot of different qualities and we know he can be dangerous at the weekend keno
”Rashford’s decisive 82nd-minute strike on City’s last trip across town in January capped a controversial fightback by the home side keno
United had cancelled out Jack Grealish’s opener just four minutes earlier through Bruno Fernandes despite Rashford having been in an offside position during the build-up keno
After bouncing back spectacularly by winning the treble – and beating United in the FA Cup final – Walker insists City are not motivated by revenge keno
“I don’t think we think like that,” said the right-back keno
“Last season is done, we lost at Old Trafford and went on to win the treble keno
Ultimately that’s what matters keno
“Of course this game means a lot but it’s part of a bigger picture and, OK we lost last season and the luck didn’t go in our favour, but we bounced back from that and did what we did keno
“We want to win the game because of what it means and because ultimately it will help us in trying to win the Premier League again keno
We don’t need to think beyond that keno
“We’ve had some great games against them in recent years and our focus is on giving the fans something to enjoy again on Sunday keno
”City are in a strong position despite a blip before the recent international break, when they lost to Wolves and Arsenal, and lacking the intensity they showed at the end of last season keno
If it was hard to get motivated then we wouldn’t have won three Premier League in a rowKyle WalkerWalker said: “People keep saying how hard it must be to get motivated because of what we achieved last season but we’re all competitors who want to win keno
We’ve shown that year after year keno
“If it was hard to get motivated then we wouldn’t have won three Premier Leagues in a row keno
“We go into every game wanting to win, for ourselves, for this club and it’s the reason we’ve been so successful keno
That doesn’t go away just because we did something special last season keno

Mauricio Pochettino lamented that Chelsea were “not nasty enough” in attack as Brentford won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge to send his team to a third home Premier League defeat of the season keno
Victory for the visitors, earned with second-half goals from Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo, maintained their 100 per cent record on this ground since being promoted to the top flight in 2021 and ended Chelsea’s run of three league games unbeaten keno
The hosts failed to take advantage of a first half that they largely dominated, going close through Noni Madueke who struck the crossbar on his first start of the season keno
Marc Cucurella should have made more of the chance when Cole Palmer found him unmarked inside the box with a finely weighted ball, the defender lacking the power and precision needed to trouble goalkeeper Mark Flekken keno
From there, familiar frailties crept into Chelsea’s play and it was little surprise when they fell behind on 58 minutes, Pinnock storming past the ineffectual Axel Disasi to get on the end of Mbeumo’s cross and power his header inside Robert Sanchez’s near post keno
The goalkeeper was left embarrassed in added time when he was caught out going up for a corner and left the goal empty for Mbeumo to tap home Brentford’s second keno
Chelsea’s woeful home form has seen them win only once at Stamford Bridge in the league since March, a run that now stands at 13 matches going back to March keno
And after failing to score here for the 10th time in all competitions in 2023, Pochettino was left to rue the ease with which the visitors coped with his side’s attacking threat keno
“It’s a clear analysis,” he said keno
“After the first half we should score and we didn’t keno
When you dominate and create chances, and you don’t concede chances and the opponent didn’t cross the halfway line, we should score keno
If you don’t score, you need to blame ourselves keno
We were not nasty or clinical in front of the goal keno
“Sometimes you need some luck to score keno
It would change the game in the second half keno
But I think we gave them belief because we didn’t score keno
The second half, we can’t concede the kind of goal that we conceded and that’s why we lost the game keno
“(We have had) bad luck keno
(Christopher) Nkunku proved he can score in the big leagues and was injured in the last pre-season game keno
This type of thing didn’t help keno
We need to recover (Armando) Broja keno
Nicolas Jackson is affected for different reasons, he’s young and needs time to adapt keno
That’s obvious keno
”The first half ended with the manager remonstrating with a supporter near the dugout who expressed dissatisfaction with Jackson’s lack of involvement keno
The striker had come to the touchline to receive instruction but was criticised from the stands for his performance, prompting Pochettino to come to his defence keno
“It was a moment where we all felt frustrated,” he said keno
“After 40 minutes we’d played really well and created chances, but didn’t score keno
In that moment the energy was down in the stadium keno
“(Jackson) came to me and we were talking about positions on the pitch and I gave some direction to him keno
One fan said ‘wake up’ keno
I said to stop talking in this way, support the players, we need support keno
It was very respectful keno
”Brentford boss Thomas Frank reflected on a game in which his players weathered first-half pressure and grabbed their chances when they arrived keno
“I think our first half wasn’t that good,” he said keno
“Chelsea were good first half, you see their exciting potential keno
If I was a Chelsea fan I’d be positive about them keno
It’s a bad result (for them), but I’m convinced it will come keno
“I said at half time we need to believe, I didn’t see that enough in the first half keno
We didn’t give away big chances away, but we gave too much away keno
“The first goal always changes the dynamic of a game keno
The way we defended was fantastic keno
